💡 Statewide Spotlight

In each newsletter, we’ll start highlighting programs, resident groups, and other city parks and greenspace stewardship activities from across Ohio — and bring back ideas to Cleveland!
First up: Cincinnati Parks Advisory Councils

Last month, Coalition Coordinator Tait visited Cincinnati with the Trust for Public Land team and talked with several resident leaders of Parks Advisory Councils (CPACs). CPACs are groups of neighborhood residents who do park stewardship and programing in a formal partnership with the City of Cincinnati Parks and the Cincinnati Parks Foundation. The city has 36 CPACs with residents organizing in over 40 Cincinnati parks!

Learn more about CPACs at Cincinnati Parks’ website here.

Coalition Coordinator Tait Ferguson (left) and steering committee member India Hobbs (right) presented at the Conservancy for CVNP’s Low Power Happy Hour last month. Tait and India discussed why CPGC centers residents, equity, and parks – and how we will use the EPA grant to achieve a more equitable parks ecosystem for Cleveland.
