History
The Cleveland Parks & Greenspace Coalition has undergone many changes over the years. Read through our timeline to learn more.
2019 - 2020
Forums from the City Club of Cleveland inspired Cleveland residents, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders came together to generate ideas about park equity.
2021-2022
We took on our first large project in response to the 2021 Cleveland Mayoral Race. Dozens of resident and organization stakeholders came together to voice concerns about Cleveland parks and greenspaces.
2023 - 2024
The first in-person meeting of Coalition members occured, the Friends of Parks In-Person Learning Exchange. This meeting laid the groundwork for the future Park Advocate Nights. We further welcomed Cleveland’s new department of Parks & Recreation.
2025 - Present
