Looking for contacts to improve or program your neighborhood park? Want to connect with other residents and organizations improving Cleveland parks? Just want to reach out to Cleveland parks and greenspace professionals? The Coalition has compiled a database of resources for residents and organizations below:

  • A complex network of city departments and officials play a role in improving, maintaining, and programming Cleveland’s parks and greenspaces. The Coalition has compiled contact information for a variety of City officials who play a role in our city’s parks and greenspaces. If you want help determining who to contact, send us an email!

  • Your Cleveland Councilmember has the potential to be a powerful advocate for local parks and greenspaces in your ward. Some Councilmembers even has discretionary funds that can be used to fund City park improvements outside of traditional City operations.

  • Community Development Corporation’s (CDC) are non profits representing your neighborhood that can serve as a bridge between City government and residents – they often promote affordable housing, social and safety services, and economic development through grants and city funding. Coalition member Cleveland Neighborhood Progress has a list below:

  • Our Coalition is made up of multiple organizations working to promote high quality and high quantity parks and greenspaces across Cleveland. Each organization has unique services, resources, and opportunities.

  • There is a large network of Friends of Groups (neighbor-led + park-specific), community gardens, and resident-led parks and greenspace groups across Cleveland. The Coalition works to provide resources for these groups and bring them in contact with the City, organizations, and each other.

  • The Planning Department at the City of Cleveland has several neighborhood planners each devoted to specific neighborhoods across Cleveland. You can use these planners as a resource for what’s happening in your neighborhood and as a representative of the City’s planning objectives.
