Warsaw Park (Slavic Village)

Slavic Village residents are hosting a clean-up at Warsawan gatering feedback on improvements to the park. Help them establish a friends of group for this park! You can email the Slavic Village Green Team to learn more and get involved: GreenTeam@slavicvillage.org.

Arthur Johnston Park (Lee-Seville-Miles)

Friends of The Village of Miles Heights host clean-ups at Arthur Johnston Park throughout the summer and fall. No RSVP is needed, but you can learn more and get involved by visiting their social meda: @mileshtsvillage.

Impett Park (West Park)

Friends of Impett Park hosts weekly Sunday morning clean-ups in the spring, summer, and fall. You can stay up to date on planned cleanups and park events by joining their mailing list. Send an email to get more involved: friendsofimpettpark@gmail.com.

Each yard sign includes room for your group’s name on the top, and for a custom QR code linking to your group. We could also partner with you to put together a video or digital story about your park and neighborhood that can be linked to this sign.

  • Getting Garden Ready with CPL, Thur. Mar 5th @ 6:30pm-8pm:

    Learn the basics of laser engraving, sticker making, and 3D printing to make practical supplies and whimsical decorations for your garden with Cleveland Public Library at the Downtown branch. Register here.

  • Cleveland Metroparks Job Fair, Sat. Mar 7th @ 11am-1pm: Metroparks is hiring 1,000 individuals for a variety of seasonal roles. Opportunities are available across park reservations, golf courses, food service, retail, marinas and the zoo. View options and learn more here.

  • Navigating Land Use: Policies, Partners, and Possibilities, Thur. Mar 12th, 2pm-3pm: This free TPL virtual training will explore the common challenges, solutions, and best practices for navigating land use systems and unlocking the possibilities of public space.   • Environmental Justice Action Session: Weds. Mar 18th, 5pm-6pm: Hosted by New Voices for Reproductive Justice, this event will feature a teach-in, followed by a discussion on current state legislation and real-time advocacy action items. All attendees will enter a raffle for a Swag Bag. Register here.

  • Slavic Village Parks Meeting, Fri. Mar 20th, 8:30am-9:30am: Are you a Slavic Village resident? Join Slavic Village Development for their monthly community parks and garden advocacy meeting to discuss your work, opportunities, and updates. Email Krystal Sierra to learn more.

  • Hough Park Advocate Night, Weds. Mar 25th, 5:30pm-7:30pm: Learn about the resident-led park advocacy work happening at Thurgood Marshall Green, and engage with fellow community leaders over dinner. RSVP here.

  • Metroparks Summer Camp Scholarships, Due Weds. Apr 15th: Cuyahoga County residents are eligible for Cleveland Metroparks camp scholarships for each of their camps this summer. You can learn more and apply here.
