Apply by January 20th: Scholarships to attend Park Pride Conference this March
Trust for Public Land and the Cleveland Parks & Greenspace Coalition are excited to bring another cohort of Cleveland park advocates to this year's Park Pride Parks and Greenspace Conference in Atlanta, GA!
Selected attendees will receive travel and food stipends, lodging, and conference registration to help cover the cost of attending.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Dates: Sunday, March 23rd -- Tuesday, March 25th, 2025
Who: Cleveland residents who are park advocates and stewards, especially those interested in starting or growing a volunteer Friends of Group or park stewardship group.
This is the second year a Cleveland cohort has attended this conference, which is focused on equitable, transparent, and resident-driven stewardship and improvement of parks. This year’s theme is Connecting on Common Ground. The conference is all day March 24th, and we will be organizing a unique program of site visits and learning for the morning of March 25th. Gardening for Biodiversity Webinars, Wednesday, Jan. 15th 1-3pm: Western Reserve Land Conservancy is hosting a series of webinars on gardening for biodiversity. The first program will explore Lurie Garden in Chicago and the High Line in NYC. Register now here or watch a recording on YouTube.
Friends of Hough Greenspace Meeting, Thursday, Jan. 16th 6-7:30pm: Nearby residents are forming a Friends of Hough Greenspace group to help steward and advocate for the park after it’s completion. They meet online, get the link via email.
NeighborUp Action Grants, Due Feb. 10th, at 11:59pm: Have an idea for a project or program that would make a positive difference for people in your Cleveland or East Cleveland neighborhood? Find a neighbor and apply today. You must join an online or in-person grant workshop before applying. Learn more and apply here.

Give feedback on Great Lakes Science Plan, Open now: The Great Lakes Science Advisory Board is creating a new plan for tracking and understanding the health of the Great Lakes, especially by those communities on the lakes’ shores.
