Re-Cap: Park Advocate Night in Buckeye

THANK YOU to the 50+ community advocates who came out to our August Park Advocate Night

Shout-out our community hosts:  Ms. Denise Moore, Meg Weingart, William Foy, and Ms. Toni Johnson!

The night was full of honest and inspiring conversations between neighborhood leaders and greenspace advocates — each of our discussion leaders hosted conversations on their park stewardship work in Buckeye. Many contacts were swapped and it’s clear there is more to come! Want to see where the action is? Here are some Buckeye parks you need to check out: Artha Woods Park, Helen Simpson Park, Ubuntu Gathering Space, and Kossuth Park.

Click here for fliers and programs coming up in Buckeye shared at the event.

Thank you to the partners and vendors that helped make it happen:

Cleveland community leader and Coalition member, Ronaldo Rodriguez, recently published an op-ed covering the Coalition’s March trip to Atlanta for the Park Pride conference in The Land. Read the article, and Rodriguez’s call to action!

“The opportunity is in front of us, but it won’t realize itself. It will take neighbors stepping up, working together, and daring to imagine more. The next chapter is ours to write.”
