Panel + Discussion Description:

You'll discover how ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds are set to transform playgrounds throughout Cleveland! We will share insight about how strategic allocation of these funds towards playground renovation is being used in conjunction with grants to revitalize an entire park, showcasing a pioneering model for future park developments. and how community involvement through establishment of a “friends of” group can be done even before park construction begins.

Do you need volunteers for a park or green space project this summer?

The Coalition is looking to connect local parks and greenspace stewardship groups + projects with youth seeking volunteer opportunities at the NEO Youth Climate Summit, Sunday, April 14th. If you have a project for the summer and need volunteers, click below:

The Coalition takes on the Atlanta Park Pride Parks & Greenspace Conference!

Last week, the Coalition went to Atlanta, Georgia for the Park Pride Parks & Greenspace Conference. Our resident-driven cohort had representatives from Friends of Impett Park, Morelands Group (Friends of Helen Simpson Park), Roberto Clemente Park, and the Coalition steering committee. In short: lots of learning and inspiration!
We spent two days learning best practices for resident-led parks and greenspace funding, development, and stewardship and getting to tour westside Atlanta parks and urban farms with resident stewards. Be on the lookout for conference takeaways and resources!
